1. Information processed
For accounts and school verification, the platform processes login and school email addresses and verification status. It also processes the name, bio and contact details you provide, and your posts, images, replies, favorites, contact requests and reports. Login, security, policy-acceptance and account-lifecycle records may include timestamps, session information and request network information.
2. How information is used
Information supports accounts, school verification, content display, requested contact and notifications, report handling, security and abuse prevention. Login and school email addresses are stored encrypted and matched using keyed lookup values. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes. Changing a display name does not change login credentials.
3. Who can see information
Post visibility follows the public or school-only option selected when publishing. Your display name accompanies your content. Favorites, account security information and unpublished contact details are not exposed as public post fields. Access to contact details depends on contact requests, approvals and automatic-approval settings. Administrators with the relevant permissions can access information needed to handle reports and operate the service; sensitive actions are audited.
4. Cookies and browser storage
Session cookies identify signed-in sessions. Language settings retain your display preference. Browser storage also supports request verification and synchronization of login state. The keep-me-signed-in option affects session persistence. Signing out revokes the corresponding session. Clearing cookies or local storage may require signing in again, but does not delete your account.
5. Email, images and external links
Email confirmation and password recovery require email delivery. Uploaded images require storage, processing and display services. The relevant infrastructure processes information needed to perform those functions. When you follow an external link in a post, you enter another service and should consult its privacy information. Avoid including unnecessary sensitive information in uploaded content.
6. Changes, deletion and retention
Your profile lets you edit supported account details and contact methods and manage posts, contact settings and security. Deleting a post does not immediately erase every related record. Report handling, security and account-lifecycle processing may require necessary records to remain. Account deletion follows the deletion workflow and data-cleanup rules. Minimal necessary audit and anti-abuse records are cleaned up under their respective retention rules.
7. Your choices
Check visibility before publishing and choose appropriate contact and automatic-approval settings. Keep protected information out of post text and images. Use the reporting feature if a post exposes personal information. Acceptance records retain the version, language and content digest accepted; reading another version does not change those records.
